Tigín means small home in Gaelic.

This 2 story town house in Ennistymon has a private entrance. 

The downstairs is open plan, with a comfortable sitting room to the front of the house, while the fully fitted kitchen and dining table are located at the rear of the house. The kitchen leads to the backyard that is enclosed by old stone walls and decked with composite decking, providing a tranquil space for alfresco dining. 

The bathroom with its large shower is also located downstairs. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom has a double bed and a wardrobe to provide plenty of storage. 

The second bedroom has a bunk bed suitable for people under 100kg / 220 pounds only!

Free WiFi is available throughout the house. There is a flat screen smart TV that allows access to over 50 channels, YouTube and radio stations. You can also access your own Netflix account on this TV. The house has been completely renovated throughout. The house is heated with new modern storage heaters that can be controlled with a timer or switched on and off when required. There is a heater in every room. The shower, cooker and oven are all electric too.

A note from the house owner, Dee: Our house was once the home of my Great-Grandparents, my Grandparents and my Mother, as well as being the business location of my flower shop up until recent years. Although it has been completely transformed and renovated, it holds many great memories for our family and I hope that it may provide our guests with many happy memories of their visit to Ennistymon. During your stay, you have complete access to the house where you will find many home comforts. The back yard is a beautiful hideaway, especially when the sun shines! PLEASE NOTE: VERY IMPORTANT: As the house is over 250 years old, the stairs are space saver stairs and are very steep so may not be suitable for people with mobility issues, difficulty with steep stairs or small children, please see photos of stairs in the gallery. There is one bathroom located on the ground floor and the bedrooms are not en suite.

As the house is located in the center of our small town, everything is on your doorstep. There are 2 big supermarkets within walking distance from the house. On Saturday morning there is a farmers market in the square/church street, just around the corner from the house. 

The local pubs are also well worth a visit, try Cooley House and Dalys for live music at the weekends. 

The Courthouse Art Gallery is located across the street from the house and is well worth a visit too. 

And, Don't forget to take a walk along the river from the Cascades and into the glen, it's beautiful!

All rooms have electric storage heaters. Water is heated with an under sink electric water heater.

IMPORTANT: The stairs are space saver stairs and are very steep so may not be suitable for people with mobility issues, difficulty with steep stairs or small children. Bedrooms are accessible via the stairs.

Your stay will include:

  • No parking (on street)

  • Complimentary hand soap. We do not provide toiletries (shampoo, conditioner and body wash) or hairdryers.

  • 24/7 host access (Surcharge of €100/h in case of call-outs from 9pm to 7am for issues that we are not at fault - Ex. lost keys, party complaints etc)

Bedroom 2: Twin Room (BUNK BEDS), first floor (one floor up) - The bunk bed is suitable for people under 100kg / 220 pounds  only!

Bathroom 1: Family bathroom, ground floor, toilet, sink and shower.

  • Check in from 4pm

  • Check-out at 10am

  • There are late check out and check in options that can be selected while making the booking, but we reserve the right to cancel them at any time (and issue a refund) in case we have a same day arrival/departure.

  • Cancellation/Pre-payment – Make sure you understand our policies.

  • All children are welcome. One baby cot and one high chair available in every property. We do not provide mattress or linen for baby cots for heath and safety reasons.

  • If your booking is made after 5pm for the same day, please call us as soon as you make the booking to arrange for key collection.



IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE FOR ALL OUR PROPERTIES:

Internet access is provided free of charge where available, we cannot be held responsible for the disruption of internet access or TV channels due to internet/ TV service providers or any other third party. In this event of lack of TV Service or internet due to the service provider compensation cannot be given as this is a FREE service, please bear this in mind when making your booking.

Children and babies are welcome in all our properties. But please be aware that none of our properties are child proof. We do not offer stair gates, cupboard locks and latches, corner protectors, spark guards or fireguards.

There is no substitute for adult supervision of a small child. Watch your child at all times as children do not understand danger. Remember that young children are not capable of being responsible for their own safety.

We do not provide toiletries. It’s an ecological decision we have made as a company. Please bring your own. 980.8 tonnes of plastic waste is produced by travel miniatures every year – equivalent to two-and-a-half Boeing 747s.

Pet Friendly homes – Some of our houses and apartments are pet friendly. Dogs are not allowed to jump on, or sleep on the furniture or go in the bedrooms. We also ask that all traces of your pet be removed at the end of your stay, including the garden and courtyard areas.

If we feel that the homes needs additional cleaning after a stay with a pet or for any other reason (party, extreme messiness etc) , there may be a sur-charge after check out. This will be charge per hour if extra professional cleaning is needed.
